Top Music Business Faculty Announced At London's Institute
LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ ICMP) 2013 has seen Daft Punk, David Bowie and Boards of Canada among others setting a precedent through their successful use of innovative, creative promotional campaigns. In light of these bold strategies the Institute of Contemporary Music Performance in London has taken note, expanding on its world class Music Business teaching Faculty.

It is a point for debate that the people behind the music are fast becoming equally essential as the musicians themselves. The music school, famous for educating artists such as Daughter has therefore positioned itself to be the leader in providing the knowledge, experience and education required for success in an ever-changing industry through its ground breaking Music Business courses.

A selection of some of the Institute's Music Business Faculty are:

Ian Ramage From his early years in a tape making factory to Head of Marketing at Polydor and EMI Records, Ian Ramage has an impressive resume of music industry knowledge and experience. With roles ranging from Head of A & R for Sony Publishing and Warner Records to managing new acts and teaching Music Business his insightful background is reflected in his teaching methods.

Andy Reynolds A recent audio engineer for Maverick Sabre (Mercury Records), Andy has been working in the music industry for over 25 years as both a live and recording specialist. An author of live music business books and a concert tour manager Andy has as much live experience knowledge as anyone can get.

Danny Hagan A co-founder of the Green Man Festival playing host over the years to numerous major artists such Robert Plant, Mumford and Sons, Flaming Lips, and Bon Iver among others, Danny has experienced the music industry from all angles having gained a successful music career himself. With such a well rounded calibre of music business expertise, his insights into the industry present an astounding breath of music business wisdom.

Jon Lee With previous project marketing experience for Red Bull's Music Academy, Jon Lee is the Director of marketing and communications business 'Lost Art'. Specialising in music and culture; Jon has also worked with Channel 4 Music, Coca Cola's "Burn Studios" and Box TV building a remarkable portfolio of marketing strategies and initiatives.

All other Music Business faculty members at the Institute have worked in a vast array of positions and areas in the music industry from Music Merchandising to Journalism helping the Institute create a rounded and inspirational environment in which potential music industry leaders of the future can be cultivated.

The Institute are currently still enrolling for its September 2013 BA degree in Music Business. A one year scholarship worth £5, 650 is offered every year to one creative, entrepreneurial applicant. The scholarship runs in association with ATC Management (Band of Skulls, Faithless, Eliza Doolittle, Laura Mvula, and Nick Cave) and applicants must provide a creative and original business case for a profitable music-related business idea/concept.
