Mark Farner, From Grand Funk Railroad, To Perform In Branson, Missouri
Branson, Missouri (Top40 Charts/ Worx Company) A true rock and roll legend, Mark Farner found fame and success at 20 years of age as the leader of one of America's biggest bands, Grand Funk Railroad. The band recorded 17 albums with total sales of more than 25 million records and toured the world, which isn't bad for a guy who only had three formal guitar lessons.

The hit singles included "We're An American Band," "I'm Your Captain (Closer To Home)," "Foot-Stompin' Music," "Locomotion," "Bad Time," "Some Kind Of Wonderful," plus many more. In 1971 they set the attendance record at New York's Shea Stadium for a concert, surpassing the record set by The Beatles in 1966, and a record that still stands today.

Long revered and acknowledged as a primary force in popularizing the American power trio, Mark Farner comes to RFD-TV Theatre in Branson for one show only, Sunday October 27, 2013 at 2:00pm. Mark is known as The Rock Patriot for good reason. His support of our country's Veterans and military is unmatched in the rock community. For this concert Mark is doing something very special for those who have served. With each paid ticket you may request another ticket free of charge. All we ask is that you give that ticket to a Veteran so they may attend Mark's concert at no cost. This ticket may be used by a spouse, family member, friend, or anyone else as long as they are a Veteran. There is no limit on the number of tickets for this offer. If you purchase one ticket you get one free, purchase five and get five free, etc. Please do not ask for this offer unless you are absolutely sure a Veteran will use the ticket.
