Music Festival wraps a successful second year on Montrose Beach this past weekend, with 72,500 fans coming through the festival's gates to enjoy the world's top electronic dance music artists, hot summer beats, epic sunsets, fireworks, and much more. Expanded to three days this year, Wavefront brought even more stages and artists to Chicago's only beachside festival, which was broadcast live to 40 million homes on AXS TV, and viewed by over 225,000 people in 144 countries on internationally recognized live streaming video platform BE-AT.TV.
"Wavefront fest
Chicago was awesome...one of my favorite festivals I've ever played in Chicago." -DIPLO
"What an incredible night of music, people, fireworks and love." - FRANKIE KNUCKLES
"With the rest of the country still nursing Independence Day hangovers, dance fans from all corners of the country flocked to Chicago's Montrose Beach for the second year of Wavefront
Music Festival…. exploring the sights and sounds of a beach-front festival is an experience unlike many others right now in the crowded US festival market."
-DANCING ASTRONAUT
"For a festival that is still in its infancy, Wavefront was a very well-executed musical affair amidst a stellar beach setting. Seeing heavy hitters like Scuba, Justice, and Maya Jane Coles with your feet in the sand and ample dancing room was certainly a proper way to spend the holiday weekend." - MIXMAG
"This is the best fest in
Chicago in 2013." -TIMEOUT CHICAGO
"With an eclectic lineup, beachfront location, and the birthplace of house music as its home, the festival is well positioned to develop its own niche in the crowded festival market: one that might skew a bit older and groovier than the last two fests to blow through the Windy City…" says inthemix.com.

"The festival weaved together different styles of electronic music that both satiated the festivalgoers' varied musical tastes and also highlighted DJs with raw talent. Whether grooving to nu-disco and deep house at Wolf+Lamb and Soul Clap's Crew Love Stage, checking out the unique hip-hop stylings of Paper Cha$ers, and of course witnessing house music legends at the
Chicago Heritage stage including Mr. Knuckles and hometown faves
Dennis Carter vs. Mark Farina, every stage was poised to deliver a unique musical experience." - VIBE.com
"This was house showing its roots as a social movement, a safe haven for the marginalized, set to music that's just now beginning to creep upward into the mainstream. It all came together here, on this dance floor, at this festival in the year 2013: The originators, their small group of faithful, and one stage over, the massive youth culture they helped spawn, wearing brighter colors and more carefree smiles. Appropriation, commercialization, whatever: Wavefront created a temporary place in which they could coexist, and in those brief moments, it was beautiful."
