LOS ANGELES (JetSpeed Records) - Courtland Tyler founder and CEO of JetSpeed Records and Red Galaxy Records donates several musical instruments for the 'Right to Rock' children's charity event.
Courtland Tyler will be attending the 'Right to Rock' charity event to not only support the cause, but to donate three Fender Stratocaster guitars. 'Right to Rock' will be held on the evening of September 4, 2004 at the Queen Mary and will run from 12:00 noon until 8:00 pm. This California based, non-profit organization is focused on providing opportunities for students to engage in music programs despite the cut backs in government funding.
Courtland Tyler states, 'Music is an abstract craft which enables children of all ages to expand their minds and express themselves creatively and I am honored to have the opportunity to be a part of that.'
While schools around the country are being deprived of adequate educational music departments, foundations such as 'Right to Rock' have been providing the means to sustain such programs. It has been statistically proven that children who engage in creative extracurricular activities have a significantly higher performance level in other education related areas. Music provides a platform for children to develop the necessary skills to think conceptually, while allowing them to work in a collaborative environment which in turn develops their ability to communicate amongst their peers.
