Bergen County, NJ (Top40 Charts/ Pounds the Lbs official website) Serious rockers are going to love this band. Performing under the name, Pounds the Lbs. (pounds the pounds), three local, Bergen County performers are crafting a brand of power rock that hasn't been performed with this much energy in years. Rock fans can see it for themselves at the band's upcoming shows, Sunday, October 6th, at 10th Street Live and Saturday, October 12th and Friday, November 8th at Mexicali Live . The act combines flashing guitar leads with a surging bass line and rapid-fire drums to create their own renditions of hits by Mötley Crüe and Robin Trower, as well as their own original compositions. This band has the leather, the hair, and the devil-may-care attitude that is stirring the hearts and minds of a whole new generation of rock and roll enthusiasts. The excitement starts as the band mounts the stage, the lights go up, and the opening riffs take hold, and continues as the boys lean into their instruments sending shudders through the crowd until it reaches a clash and crescendo reminiscent of rock giants.
Actual comments from the audience at the recent Fright Fest performance: "Awesome! My ears are buzzing!" and, "Outrageous stage presence…powerful." Members of the band, GNGR (Ginger), another up and coming NJ-based rock act joined Pounds the Lbs. for their take on "Everybody Wants Some!" a Van Halen favorite.
