NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - The hard rock band Dream Theater and EastWest Records are putting together a plan for how to deal with the group's new concert album, Live Scenes From New York, which came out Tuesday (September 11). The album's cover depicts the World Trade Center towers, the Statue Of Liberty, and the New York skyline engulfed by flames.
An EastWest spokeswoman said that because of the disarray in New York City following Tuesday's tragedy, company executives had not been able to fully address the situation. "It's an unfortunate coincidence," she said, "An eerie coincidence."

A decision on whether or not to pull the album from shelves should be made this week, she said, with a joint statement from the label and the band expected to accompany whatever action is taken.

MCA Records faced a similar situation in 1977 when the cover of Lynyrd Skynyrd's Street Survivors album, depicting the band engulfed in flames, was recalled for a new cover after three band members and their road manager were killed in a plane crash.
