EDM Rising Stars (We Are) Nexus Announces Street Date for Their Second Release "World Around Me"

Chicago, Illinois (Top40 Charts/ (We Are) Nexus) Nothing seems to be able to stop the whirlwind effect produced by (We Are) Nexus as they continue to take the dance music world by storm with their fresh, energetic sound that has been topping the Billboard and iTunes charts over the last several months. As the winter season encroaches upon us, the EDM duo is working feverishly to complete their second single "World Around Me," which is comprised completely of original material.

Set for release on January 28th, 2014 through Shotgunn Production , the "World Around Me" EP will be accompanied by at least six remixes produced by gifted DJs from across the nation. Each remix of "World Around Me" intends to add a new dimension breathing vitality into the original mix of Nexus' already incredibly well-produced follow up single.



(We Are) Nexus' first single was a well-received sexy cover of "It Feels So Good," originally performed by trance goddess Sonique which immediately captured the attention of fans, DJs and popular dance radio stations such as Fusion FM. Nexus' cover certainly did justice to the original as it soared to the top of renowned music industry charts such as iTunes Dance Top 100 and Billboard Top 50 Dance/Electronic Song Charts only weeks after its initial release. "It Feels So Good" provided the boost that (We Are) Nexus needed to define themselves as a talented, skilled, EDM duo that is ready to continue making groundbreaking, club banging tracks. From here on out, Nexus is only going to get bigger and more refined.

After the success of "It Feels So Good" what should fans expect from Nexus' with an all original release? "Carmen and I couldn't wait until we had an opportunity to release an all original track. It's where we really shine," says Nick Gunn, Nexus' producer and composer. Carmen Rainier, Nexus' vocalist and lyricist adds, "We did what we thought was necessary to break into the dance market and that is produce something everyone knows so they actually pay attention to your music. It's kind of a marketing strategy that has paid off for us."

For fans that cannot wait until January 28th to hear the new "World Around Me" track, (We Are) Nexus intends to periodically release clips of the song on their social media platforms over the next few weeks and months. In addition to the release of clips from the new single, Nexus is also preparing for a "12 Days of Nexus Giveaway" starting December 11th and extending through December 22nd. The EDM act is partnering up with Scosche to giveaway headphones, boom boxes, earbuds and more to the loyal fans that have supported, rooted for, loved and rocked out to (We Are) Nexus since the beginning.
