NEW YORK (Stinky Records) - Stinky Records has just released the debut album from J.U.F., the sister project of New York gypsy-punk-rock band Gogol Bordello. Inspired by and hatched out of Gogol Bordello's legendary weekly New York City club night at Mehanata (a.k.a. "The Bulgarian Bar", at Broadway and Canal), J.U.F.'s debut album is the soundtrack to the ultimate New York City underground after-party, a trans-global dancehall powered by Balkan, hip hop, punk, disco, dub and Rai beats. "Gogol Bordello vs. Tamir Muskat" has been drawing rave reviews, including from Robert Christgau of the Village Voice, who graded the album an "A-".

* Sat., September 18th Record Release Event at Globesonic, at Nublu (62 Avenue C, New York City, Between 4th and 5th Streets, (212) 979-9925), with a guest DJ appearance by DJ Eugene Hutz of J.U.F./Gogol Bordello.
