NEW YORK (Lava Records) - Vanessa Williams, one of Adult Contemporary's leading ladies will ring in the holidays this year with the release of her seventh studio album entitled "Silver & Gold" scheduled for release on October 12th. Ms. Williams recently signed a long-term recording contract with Lava Records, which will allow her to release a series of thematic albums beginning with the stunning "Silver & Gold."
"Silver & Gold" will be followed by a collection of Vanessa's favorite love songs from the 70s, which is expected for release in time for Valentine's Day.

The collection features an assortment of gorgeous holiday classics as well as "December Lullaby," a new track written specifically for the album. Highlights from "Silver & Gold" include a jazzy rendition of "Winter Weather," a remake of The Carpenters classic "Merry Christmas Darling," and "Rise Up Shepard and Follow" which features members of the Broadway Inspirational Voices Choir.

Other key tracks include "Joy To The World," a duet featuring R&B crooner Brian McKnight and "The Holly & The Ivy" featuring Irish whistling/guitar duo Cormac Breatnach and Martin Dunlea. These songs, along with Vanessa's passionate vocals, expertly capture the spirit of the season, parlaying a message of thanksgiving and hope.

To ring in the holidays, Vanessa Williams will return to the stage, performing live on Broadway at the Palace Theatre in New York City, on December 1-5th.
