LONDON, UK (AP) - The Foot & Mouth benefit concert Farm Aid has been cancelled, due to the terrorist attacks in the USA. Coldplay, Ash, Toploader and Reef were scheduled to play at the event, which was due to be held on October 27th at Cardiff Millennium Stadium. The concert was intended to help farmers affected by the foot and mouth viral outbreak, but is now definately cancelled. It had been organised by farmer and Glastonbury supremo Michael Eavis. Eavis explained today: "Due to the horrendous events in America we have had to cancel our Farm Aid concert in Cardiff," he said. "Everyone's thoughts will be, for a long time, directed towards the terrible loss of life and the consequences that will bring to many thousands of people." "Unfortunately the Foot & Mouth disease refuses to go away and farmers will suffer hardship and have to cope with winter ahead with very gloomy prospects."
