LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts/ Vision Music Promotions) Albino are an urban folk band based at the Castle Tandoori in Elephant and Castle, London. An eclectic bolus of manhood, with combined blood lineage from Somalia to St Helens. By day a bunch of pen-pushers and data-jockeys but at sunset they transform into whisky obsessed musicians. New EP "The Great Unwashed" sees Albino working again with ex-Death In Vegas guitarist turned producer Ian Button (whose production credits include Mary Epworth, Go-Kart Mozart and Wreckless Eric & Amy Rigby).
"The Divine Comedy writing songs to play down at the local boozer"
The Great Unwashed tells a tale of a wealthy debauchee sliding into poverty. Away celebrates love in the cold north. Judgement Day reminisces about semi-naked bass players in basements, and wrathful stepmothers. Homeless completes the EP, rejoicing in endless instability.
Albino: Ben Tucker (voice and guitar), Matt Parker (bazouki, trombone), Don Gibson (drums), Merv Salole (bass).
