Young The Giant Goes Top 5 With "It's About Time"; Lead Single From Southern California Band's Acclaimed Sophomore Album Jumps To No 4 At Modern Rock Radio
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Fueled By Ramen recording group Young The Giant has entered the Top 5 on the Billboard Modern Rock chart with "It's About Time," the lead single from their acclaimed second album, "MIND OVER MATTER." The track climbs to #4 this week, following in the footsteps of the Southern California-based band's previous Top 5 hits "My Body" and "Cough Syrup."

Young The Giant will perform "It's About Time" on CBS' The Late Show with David Letterman on Thursday, February 27. In their recent review of "MIND OVER MATTER," Rolling Stone raved, "'It's About Time' marries Foo Fighter fuzz, Justin Timberlake croon... and spiraling high-life guitars," describing the band's overall sound as "explosive, inventive rock." The companion video for "It's About Time" -- directed by acclaimed visual artist David Vincent Wolf - has already garnered more than 1 million views on YouTube (watch below):

Young The Giant is currently in the midst of an epic North American tour which has sold out nearly every show thus far, including stops in San Francisco, Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin, Atlanta, and more. The band has already sold out their March 1 st show in New York City, the second of a two-night stand at Hammerstein Ballroom, with only a few tickets are left for the February 28 th show. The headlining dates continue through mid-April before high profile stops at the Firefly Music Festival and the Bunbury Music Festival (see itinerary below). Produced by Justin Meldal Johnsen (Paramore, M83, Tegan & Sara), "MIND OVER MATTER" has already earned a range of critical applause, with USA Today noting in a three-out-of-four starred rave that Young The Giant's "... twin-guitar lines, buzzy synths and wide-open melodies fit together in a way that makes perfect sense." Entertainment Weekly awarded the album a B+ rating, while Relix commended the album's "dazzlingly immersive textures and eclectic songcraft," further decreeing, "'MIND OVER MATTER' is a major creative leap." The band heralded "MIND OVER MATTER" with a number of high-profile TV appearances including TBS' Conan and an electrifying live performance on the famed outdoor stage of ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! , which can be viewed at https://youtu.be/jIB3oOXtbAU .

Young The Giant has quickly established itself as one of the most exciting new bands in recent memory. Buoyed by hit singles including "Apartment" and the RIAA-gold certified smashes, "My Body" and "Cough Syrup," the Southern California-based quintet's 2010 full length debut "YOUNG THE GIANT" was a breakthrough success earning widespread acclaim from the likes of SPIN , The New Yorker , and the Wall Street Journal , which hailed the album as "a pop masterpiece with well-crafted songs, surprising arrangements and soaring vocal harmonies."

Young The Giant spent much of 2011 and 2012 traveling the globe, with sold out headline tours, top-billing on mtvU's inaugural "Woodies Tour," and show-stopping appearances at such festivals as Bonnaroo, Austin City Limits, and Lollapalooza. A dynamic and distinctive live act, the band also made a series of major TV performances, spanning ABC's Jimmy Kimmel Live! , and NBC's TODAY and The Tonight Show with Jay Leno to 2011's MTV Video Music Awards and their own edition of MTV Unplugged.
