LOS ANGELES (Top40 Charts/ By Mona Loring/ MLC PR) - With two studio albums under their belt ['City Lights' EP (2005) and 'Complacency' LP (2006)], Las Vegas-based rock band Ashbury is set to release their highly-anticipated new EP 'Let's Make A Scene' on March 31, 2009 following their show at the Texas Rockfest at SXSW in Austin, TX on March 20 @ 9:00 PM.

Of the new EP, Ashbury shares, 'We are a rock band that writes pop music, we have big choruses and vocals, and we play music that kids can identify with. A lot of it is upbeat and fun, but on the other side of the coin it is something that adults and parents can connect with too. We're confident this album has what it takes to catapult us into the music industry fast lane.'

Recorded at Millbrook Sound Studio (NY) with producer Lou Giordano (Goo Goo Dolls, Jewel, Plain White T's, Live, The Ataris) and engineer Paul Orofino, the EP showcases the bands energetic, addictive and catchy tunes, while also showing the sophistication of the songwriting and passion of the musicians behind this band.

Ashbury recently signed with TQ Management headed by veteran manager Tommy Quon (Vanilla Ice - Capital; Blessed Union of Souls - EMI; Marcos Hernandez - TVT, Forever the Sickest Kids - Universal & Red Car Wire - Universal). Quon was personally responsible for the 17 million records sold that launched the career of Vanilla Ice in the early 90s, as well as other acts on his Dallas based Ultrax Records Label and TQ Management. ABOUT ASHBURY
Based in Las Vegas, Nevada, Ashbury first found success when they won both a local and the subsequent national 'Have a Nice Gig' contest thrown by internationally known artist Bon Jovi in 2006. After playing with Bon Jovi at MGM Grand Gardens, Jon Bon Jovi and Ritchie Sambora personally invited the band to join them on their tour at Giant's Stadium in New Jersey, in front of 50,000 people. They spent a few weeks at the No 1 spot in rotation for Vegas' Mix 94.1 FM and recently performed with The Cab and The Higher at the Las Vegas House of Blues. Ashbury has also shared the stage with artists such as Panic! At the Disco, jewel, Live, Collective Soul, Paramore, and The Higher.

ABOUT TEXAS ROCKFEST AT SXSW

Motivated by the desire to support and promote the best yet-to-be discovered talent rising from the burgeoning Texas alternative rock scene, the event is strategically scheduled to coincide with Austin's annual South by Southwest (SXSW) Interactive Media, Film and Music Festival.
