New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Acclaimed U.K.-based band Bear's Den debuts an original podcast series, So that you might hear me, featuring members Andrew Davie (lead vocals, guitar) and Kevin Jones(vocals, drums, bass, guitar). The series, hosted by L.A.-based podcaster and the band's former tour manger Danny Carissimi, takes an intimate dive into their new record (of the same name) and includes in-depth conversations about each song, their recording process and what it's like to release an album in 2019. The podcast's episodes will air weekly leading up to the album's release. Fans can listen to the first two episodes and subscribe to the podcast here: https://found.ee/BDStymhmpodcast.

Of the podcast, Carissimi says, "I hope that fans enjoy the journey and learn about how much goes into making a Bear's Den record. I want listeners to feel like they're hanging out with Kev and Davie at their studio in London. They're going to learn more about the band here than they will anywhere else and I think it will really increase their enjoyment of this new album."

Additionally, the lyric video for their track, "Blankets of Sorrow," is out now; watch/share it here: https://found.ee/BDBOSLyricVevo. The song appears on their highly anticipated album So that you might hear me, which is set for release on April 26 via Rounder Records.

Most recently, the group debuted "Fuel on the Fire" and "Blankets of Sorrow," the first tracks to be revealed from their forthcoming record. The Independent proclaims, "['Fuel on the Fire'] adds glitchy beats to traditional rock instrumentation, all thrumming beneath frontman Andrew Davie's sonorous vocals," while Baeble Music furthers, "Bear's Den is one of those bands that is like your favorite sweatshirt, you slip it on whenever and it makes you feel warm and at home. Doesn't really matter the time of day/year/where you are, home is home."

So that you might hear me was recorded at several studios in Seattle with producer Phil Ek (The Shins, Fleet Foxes, Father John Misty) and was mixed by Craig Silvey (Arcade Fire, Metronomy). Pairing melodies with poignant and unsettlingly personal lyricism, the need for connection lies at the heart of So that you might hear me.

Band members Davie and Jones explain, "The album started out as an attempt at trying to communicate with someone honestly. Our thoughts are not all rational, not all considered or tied up with ribbons and bows. This album is an attempt to reveal the honest and difficult challenge of communicating with anyone that you really care about."

In support of the release, the band will embark on an extensive run of North American tour dates this summer starting on May 6 in Austin, TX. The run of shows includes stops at New York's Irving Plaza, Los Angeles' The Fonda Theatre, Nashville'sMarathon Music Works, D.C.'s 9:30 Club, Chicago's Thalia Hall and more. See below for a complete list of dates.

The London-based band played music in various incarnations before officially forming in 2012. Their 2014 debut album, Islands, earned them an Ivor Novello nomination, the U.K.'s most prestigious songwriting accolade, alongside notable acts Ben Howard and Hozier while Red Earth & Pouring Rain reached #6 on the U.K. album chart. The band has sold almost 500,000 records over the course of their career and after four years of nonstop touring has sold over 100,000 tickets worldwide including global festival appearances at Bonnaroo and Glastonbury.
