Ludovico Einaudi Premieres New Exclusive Concert Film On Apple Music
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) During his latest U.S. tour supporting recent effort and most ambitious musical project ever, Seven Days Walking (Decca Records/Universal Music), famed Italian pianist and composer Ludovico Einaudi taped a performance at the Steve Jobs Theater inside of Apple Park in Cupertino, California - becoming the first musician ever to perform there. The emotive concert film, streaming exclusively on Apple Music now, sees Einaudi play different songs from the seven-part effort, following the release of its final installment.

Accompanied by touring ensemble Federico Mecozzi on violin and Redi Hasa on cello, the trio played pieces from his extensive catalogue as well as new music from Seven Days Walking, with Einaudi playing to his quiet strengths in the sprawling high-tech auditorium. Since the taping, Einaudi completed a lengthy tour that included his Carnegie Hall debut in NYC and a sold-out seven-night residency at the Barbican in London. Einaudi's "rock god tendencies" (The Telegraph) are evident at the sheer speed at which he sells out concert halls and arenas, delighting audiences with his "intricate and emotive" (CLASH) harmonies and tunes "Coldplay and Billy Joel would be happy to own" (The Times)

From the plaintive beginnings of Day One evolve emotive musical themes of contemplation, introspection and reflection over the course of seven separate albums released over seven months. Conceived on a series of walks through the Italian Alps, Seven Days Walking is a groundbreaking project on a scale never before attempted by a classical artist. Einaudi explains, "In January last year I often went for long walks in the mountains, always following more or less the same trail. It snowed heavily, and my thoughts roamed free inside the storm, where all shapes, stripped bare by the cold, lost their contours and colours. Perhaps that feeling of extreme essence was the origin of this album."
