New York, NY (Top40 Charts) At the award ceremony of the 2016 Action on Film (AOF) International Film Festival, Gregory Graham was thrilled to find out that his funny show THE PSYCHOLOGIST won Best Web Series. He is the creator, writer, lead actor, director and producer of this hilarious show edited by Emmy award winner Dan Feliz.
Additionally, Gregory has an entertaining YouTube channel, "Heavy Metal Greg," where he posts great rock and heavy metal footage as well as his interviews with famous musicians. This channel is available at https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCMPf523M2qj9CLU41yhpcyg.
Gregory won 2nd place at the AOF film festival last year with a different web series, an entertainment interview show titled HEAVY METAL GREG. "I was excited to get first place this year. I have worked hard on improving the quality of my projects and feel that I have taken a huge step forward from last year's entry," Gregory shared.
His passion for making this comedic web series came from doing stand-up comedy all over the Los Angeles area. He performs regularly at numerous comedy clubs such as Flapper and the Comedy Store. He has also studied at the prestigious Second City Hollywood Improv, where he completed the "Improvisation For Actors" series of classes.
"I enjoyed making THE PSYCHOLOGIST, even though it can be a little stressful to come up with each script and to organize all the activities that are required before each episode is complete. I have been trying to make one episode a month but I often get too busy doing other things before realizing that I need to write, cast, book the studio, shoot film and send it off to the film editor before the end of the month," Gregory said. "But when it is all complete, I feel energized that I was able to create something new." Episode 5 of The Psychologist has just been posted this week.
"All episodes are 2 to 3 minutes long," shared Gregory. "I have found that is the length that seems popular for people who like to watch webisodes on their cell phones."
