Cassels Reveal Video For New Single 'The Woman In The Moon'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) London duo CASSELS have revealed the video for their new single 'The Woman In The Moon'. Out now, the song is the latest to be taken from their ambitious second album, The Perfect Ending, released on 6th September 2019 via Big Scary Monsters Recordings.
The album is available to preorder now: https://orcd.co/thewomaninthemoon

Following a recent support slot with New York's Show Me The Body, shows with hotly-tipped Belgian noise band BRUTUS, and an appearance at TRUCK Festival earlier this summer, the duo added further weight to their packed live-schedule recently, announcing a run of co-headline UK tour dates for September and October 2019 with Bristol alt/garage punks The St Pierre Snake Invasion. Tickets are on sale now, see below for full listings.

The video for 'The Woman in The Moon' forms the final part of four scheduled interconnecting releases from the album, each with an accompanying video that ties together the key narrative theme of the record.

Commenting on the single, front man Jim Beck says: "'The Woman In The Moon' is the final track on the album, and the last song in our series of connected singles. The lyrics are some of my favourite I've ever written—a surreal, post-apocalyptic tale, featuring some very poorly pronounced French (désolé les français)."
"The track is pretty different to anything we've done before," he continues, "and, despite initial appearances, is probably one of the most positive tracks we've ever written too. All complex life on Earth may have been wiped out, but a period of regrowth has already begun. Though we'll probably end up killing ourselves and countless other species, in fact, there's pretty much nothing we can do to completely kill all life on Earth. Something will re-grow eventually. Even cockroaches survive a nuclear holocaust. We'll just be gone. I find this a comforting thought, and a fitting ending. Or, 'perfect ending', if you will."

The band's debut album, Epithet, was released in October 2017 and produced by Rocky Reilly (And So I Watch You From Afar, Adebisi Shank), receiving a swathe of praise from NME, DIY, UPSET, Goldflakepaint, Louder Than War and many more.

Following this release the band embarked on UK tours with Single Mothers, Meat Wave and Youth Man, and a two week European stint with Gender Roles. Over the past couple of years they've also played shows with bands including Idles, Car Seat Headrest, Ho99o9, Eagulls, Bo Ningen and Slaves, as well as festivals including Truck, Y Not, ArcTanGent, 2000 Trees and T In The Park.
The Perfect Ending is released 6th September 2019 via Big Scary Monsters
