NASHVILLE (Reuters) - Tim McGraw was on hand at Wednesday (January 9) night's American Music Awards show to accept his two awards for favorite country male artist and favorite country album for Set This Circus Down. The singer also accepted his wife Faith Hill's award for favorite country female artist, as she was home in Nashville taking care of the couple's newborn daughter, Audrey. The infant's arrival a few weeks earlier than expected prompted tabloid articles claiming the child was fighting for her life in a local hospital. McGraw cleared up the rumors, stating they were nothing but false, he tells LAUNCH. "It would probably be difficult if there was some truth to it, but since there was no truth to it, it didn't bother us at all," he says. "It was just funny. People know what those things say, so they know that that's all bullst, so it doesn't bother us. We got our baby at home and she's healthy and happy and we're happy and that's all that matters." McGraw's current single, "The Cowboy In Me," sits at Number 12 on the Billboard Hot Country Singles & Tracks chart.
