In
September 2004, Pony Boy Records produced the first Jazz Picnic and it proved to be a very successful event for our sponsors, the community and the many jazz artists who brought such great music to Magnuson Park. We had close to 500 jazz fans in attendance and expect to increase that number in 2005. The Jazz Picnic was very well supported in our community and well received by both critics and audience members. In addition to this one-of-a-kind jazz concert and wonderful audience, everyone was quite happy that the sun came out and stayed all day!
Pony Boy Records is an independent jazz and swing label. PBR features exciting, local jazz artists with a Seattle connection. With a sucessful history of over 40 releases to date, each Pony Boy project is a partnership between the artist and the label, each with dynamic style and a jazz energy!
