Wiz Khalifa's New Album 'Rolling Papers' Arrives Atop Both Billboard's Rap And R&B/Hip-hop Charts
NEW YORK, NY (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) 'ROLLING PAPERS,' the acclaimed debut album from Rostrum/Atlantic recording artist Wiz Khalifa, has debuted at No 2 on the Billboard "Top 200 Albums" chart. With sales exceeding 197,000, the album - which marks the rapper's major label debut - is also sitting at No 1 on Billboard's "Top R&B/Hip Hop Albums" and "Top Rap Albums." What's more, the Benny Blanco-produced, "No Sleep," has debuted at No 6 on the Billboard "Hot 100 Singles" chart after spending most of the past week atop the iTunes singles chart with nearly 250,000 digital singles sold in the first week. Wiz plans to celebrate the success of his debut album with a performance of his new single, "Roll Up" on The Late Show With David Letterman airing next Monday, April 11th (check local listings).

The Pittsburgh MC's debut album currently has 3 singles in the top 50 of Billboard's "Hot 100 Singles" chart ("Black And Yellow," "Roll Up," "No Sleep"). Adding to this excitement, "Black And Yellow," which hit number 1 on Billboard's "Hot 100 Singles" charts in February, is rapidly approaching the 3 million downloads mark. "ROLLING PAPERS," has proven to be a favorite among critics including People, who gave the album 3.5 out of 4 stars, while Billboard called the album, "a unique opening statement from a gifted mainstream rapper," and USA Today praised Wiz by saying he "eases down the party road on 'Papers.'"

Khalifa, who's no stranger to taking his live show on the road, is heralding the release of "ROLLING PAPERS" by announcing the 40-city "Rolling Papers Tour." The tour kicks off on June 11th at the Bonnaroo Festival in Manchester, TN and comes on the heels of the sold-out "Campus Consciousness Green Carpet Tour," which kicked off last week in Atlanta. Recognizing his laid-back, yet fun stage show, SPIN included the eco-friendly tour as one of their "25 Best Spring Tours," calling Wiz "a star ready for bigger stages."

Wiz won't be alone while on the "Campus Consciousness Green Carpet Tour." To support this 17-city nationwide college tour, Wiz will be joined by a mobile merch truck, appropriately named "The Puff Bus." The truck will travel with Wiz to all cities on the tour (see tour itinerary below) and will be filled with a plethora of merch items including clothing, posters and various other promotional items. Fans can follow "The Puff Bus" on Twitter at https://www.twitter.com/ThePuffBus, to find out where it will be parked when it rolls through their city. One of the first of its kind, "The Puff Bus" will be fully equipped with televisions and a full sound system, enhancing the fan experience even further by playing live concert footage, music videos, album tracks and more.
