Cofounders Stigmon, a saxophone player, and keyboardist Thomson Knoles first forged their sound in a high school band room in Flagstaff, AZ. \"We thought it was normal to grow up creating music together,\" said Knoles, recalling weekly joint appearances in the Jazz Jam at Mia\'s Lounge in Flagstaff and The Nash jazz club in Phoenix where they performed in the \"Catch a Rising Star\" series.

The old friends launched their latest venture in Boston when Stigmon joined Knoles at Berklee College of Music. \"Thommy\'s friends at Berklee were just as into our musical ideas as we are,\" says Stigmon. \"It was spontaneous combustion.\" STIG\'s first recording came out last year.

Ryan Stigmon was 10 years old when he fell in love with the saxophone. During his young career, he has performed with such great artists as The Temptations, Mel Brown, Chris Finet, Mike Crotty and John Willis. He has shared the stage with prestigious musicians like The Soul Rebels Brass Band, REO Speedwagon, and George Benson. Prior to attending Berklee, he was a music major at Northern Arizona University.

Thomson Knoles was born in Sydney, Australia and raised in Arizona. A talented funk/jazz/R&B pianist and composer, he has been writing original grooves since high school.

STIG members also include Cecil Alexander on guitar, Artie Sadtler on bass, and Jack McChesney on drums. STIG plays the New England music scene on weekends and is planning its 2016 spring break tour. \"We\'re super stoked since we have started production on our new live album, look for it in 2016,\" said Stigmon.
