British Hip-Hop Star Central Cee Signs To Wasserman Music For Worldwide Agency Representation
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Global talent agency Wasserman Music has signed record-breaking young British rapper Central Cee for worldwide agency representation on the heels of a heated label bidding war that found the burgeoning hip-hop star signing a joint venture agreement with Columbia Records in partnership with Sony Music UK.

Central Cee exploded out of the gates in his native England in 2021 with his first mixtape, Wild West, debuting at #2 on the U.K. albums chart and spawning two Top 10 and three Top 20 singles. The release remained in the U.K. Top 100 for over 40 consecutive weeks, becoming the year's best-selling British debut album.

His subsequent debut U.K. headline tour sold out in minutes, followed in 2022 by a hugely successful U.S. headline tour and the release of global smash single "Doja," which helped propel Central Cee to become the first British rapper in history to reach over 1 billion Spotify streams in a single year.

Central Cee's accelerating global popularity has led to sold-out headline shows across the U.S., Europe, and Australia, and prominent slots on major American and international festivals, including Glastonbury (England), Governor's Ball (NYC), Primavera Sound (Barcelona and Porto), Osheaga Festival (Montreal), Roskilde Festival (Denmark), Garorock (France), Les Ardentes (Belgium), and Rolling Loud (Miami, Rotterdam, Thailand, California, Toronto).

2023's "Sprinter," a collaboration with fellow English rapper Dave, debuted at #1 on the U.K. singles chart with over 13 million streams in just one week, the most for any U.K. rap single in history. The track remained at #1 for 10 consecutive weeks, making it the longest-running #1 rap single in U.K. chart history.

A recent freestyle session with Drake recorded on NYC's "On the Radar" streaming platform immediately went viral and landed on the Billboard Top 100, followed by a support slot on the final 16 dates of Drake's current U.S. tour - the highest-grossing hip-hop tour in history - and a forthcoming new album where the sky is the limit. Central Cee's skyrocketing success is a truly global phenomenon, with an increasingly international fan base and multiple tracks currently rising on charts around the globe.

Central Cee is represented worldwide by Wasserman Music agents Brent Smith, Lauren Marker, Tom Schroeder, and Jesse Fayne. Wasserman Music's expansive client roster includes numerous major global hip-hop stars, including Drake, Kendrick Lamar, SZA, and Childish Gambino.
