New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Genus Ordinis Dei were established in 2011 from a circle of friends residing in the same town (Crema, Italy).
The line-up is composed by the four co-founder members: Nick K (Vox & Guitars), Tommy Mastermind (Guitars & Orchestra), Steven F. Olda (Bass),Richard Meiz (Drums).
Every band member comes from an academic music background; they studied and graduated in some of the best music academy in Italy (RGA,MMI, NAM).

Between 2011 and 2013, the band sculpted its style, melding the new millennium metal with symphonic sonorities.
During this period the band started to create a concept representative of their musical, artistic and figurative identity, developing this idea in a trilogy where the first album to be released is "The Middle", the act II of the story.
At the start of 2013, their first self-produced album came out, "The Middle", heavily backed by an intensive run of live shows throughout Italy and Europe.

In 2014, thanks to their greatly received first album, they engaged with Fabrizio Scotti, who has been working in the Italian music industry for many years.

Together they started a project that opened up an opportunity to work with Marco "Maki" Coti Zelati, bass player, composer and co-founder of Lacuna Coil, as producer.

With this new heavy crew, Genus Ordinis Dei started the recording of an EP in February 2015, at the JDM Studio of Jonas Macullo, mixed and mastered by Simone Mularoni at Domination Studio.

In late 2015 the band signed with the Danish label "Mighty Music" for a worldwide distribution of both the two works.

"The Middle" has been re-released on the 22nd of January 2016, celebrated with a release party in Copenhagen, and is finally available on every digital store and distributed physically worldwide by some of the major distributors.

The band realized and released an official video of the song "Ghostwolf" and a Lyrics video of the song "Roots And Idols Of Cement".

In April 2016 the EP will be officially released worldwide by Mighty Music / Target Group.
To promote the EP, the band recorded a video during a live show for the song "From The Ashes" which will be released as an official video, and also two live videos HQ recorded by Steve Saints, mixed and mastered at BRX studios by Dario Valentini for the songs "The Fall" and "Cadence Of War".
The band is now ready to enter the studio in May, to record the second fulllength for a 2017 release.
