Noted Producer Andrew Scheps (Metallica, RHCP, Adele, Green Day) Announces Release Schedule For Tonequake Records
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ It's Alive! Media) Tonequake Records (www.tonequake.com), an independent record label formed by noted producer, engineer and mixer Andrew Scheps (Red Hot Chili Peppers, Adele, U2) confirmed today that new records from both Austin band Act Rights and Swiss singer/songwriter Heidi Happy are confirmed for today and March 19 respectively. Both acts will be touring in support of their new records, performing at SXSW and in Heidi's case, appearing at Canadian Music Week this March and NXNE in June. Australia's hard rock band Twenty Two Hundred will also be dropping their debut album on Tonequake on February 19, 2013.

It's no doubt that Heidi Happy (https://tonequake.com/heidihappy-epk), Twenty Two Hundred (www.tonequake.com/tth-epk/) and Act Rights (https://tonequake.com/actrights-epk/) could not be more divergent in musical terms. Yet it is this polar-opposite approach that is at the core of Tonequake's manifesto. Be it the unconventional pop strains and sophisticated arrangements of multi-instrumentalist Happy from On The Hills, to the more aggressive no holds barred Act Rights approach on Sweat Equity, each are being released (and in Act Rights case produced) by Scheps simply because they are great musicians.

"Too much good music doesn't see the light of day," said Tonequake Records Founder Andrew Scheps. "As the landscape of the music industry changes, I took the philosophy that Tonequake Records was created to be a new home for the next generation of great music. I've been luck enough to work with iconic and successful artists such as Metallica, Adele, Johnny Cash, Red Hot Chili Peppers and more. But nothing excites me like discovering great new music from undiscovered artists so that I can give them a platform to release their music, no matter what genre of music they make."

Both bands will be hitting the road this shortly. Tour dates for Heidi Happy include

*3/12/13 @ SXSW Austin, TX
*3/19/13 @ Canadian Music Week, Toronto ON. CANADA
*6/12/13 @ NXNE, Toronto ON. CANADA
Additional tour dates to be announced shortly.

Act Rights recently returned from a tour of the East Coast, confirmed the following dates with more to be added:

*2/20/13 @ Emo's, Austin, TX (w/ The Hives)
*3/13 @ SXSW, Austin, Tx.

If Tonequake Records philosophy of releasing great music from atypical new artists takes hold, it's clear that we are in for some earthquake weather come spring.
