Los Angeles, CA (Top40 Charts/ Atlantic Records) - Atlantic Records has announced the release of "STEP UP 3D - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK," the musical companion to the upcoming Touchstone Pictures/Summit Entertainment dance film. Due in stores and online on July 20th, the album features tracks from a number of today's top artists, including Trey Songz, Flo Rida, Roscoe Dash (featuring T-Pain) and Laza Morgan. Step Up 3D opens in theatres nationwide on August 6th.

"STEP UP 3D - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" gathers new and previously unreleased tracks from a stunning line-up of hip-hop and R&B newcomers and superstars. The latest single from the collection, Trey Songz' "Already Taken," has just impacted Urban and Rhythmic radio outlets nationwide and is currently available at all DSPs. In addition, the track's companion video made its eagerly awaited debut this week on BET's 106th & Park and can be viewed online at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGNsJBirnck

A number of songs from "STEP UP 3D - ORIGINAL MOTION PICTURE SOUNDTRACK" are also set to impact at multi-format radio outlets across the country, including the album's first single release, Laza Morgan's "This Girl," as well as Flo Rida's "Club Can't Handle Me" (featuring David Guetta), and Sophia Fresh's "This Instant." Companion videos for all three tracks are currently in production, with premiere dates still to be announced. T-Pain)."

ABOUT THE MOVIE: "STEP UP 3D"
New York's intense street dancing underground comes alive in eye-popping Digital 3D in the third installment of the Step Up franchise as the raw, passion-fueled culture goes global. A tight-knit group of street dancers, including Luke (Rick Malambri) and Natalie (Sharni Vinson), team up with NYU freshman Moose (Adam Sevani), and find themselves pitted against the world's best hip-hop dancers in a high-stakes showdown that will change their lives forever.

As the first-ever 3D dance drama, "Step Up 3D" is the first film of its kind to actually be shot in 3D - a rising technical phenomenon that thus far has been reserved for high-concept, big-budget films. It's also the first 3D feature film to be shot entirely in New York City. Acclaimed director Jon M. Chu, who made his feature directorial debut on 2008's box-office hit, Step Up 2 The Streets, returns to direct.

Step Up 3D was written by Amy Andelson & Emily Meyer, based on characters created by Duane Adler. Patrick Wachsberger & Erik Feig of Summit Entertainment produce with Adam Shankman and Jennifer Gibgot of Offspring Entertainment.
