Bluegrass/Americana Sensation Nu-Blu Storms Into IBMA With A New Look And Continued Partnership With Peterson Tuners
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Bluegrass trend-setters Nu-Blu, will be hitting the road in their newly wrapped Peterson Tuners tour bus. The chrome-colored bus, cleverly nicknamed Lola, from the hit Barry Manilow song "Copacabana," will travel throughout the United States, as the band continues their monumental tour of North America. The partnership came natural, with both Peterson Tuners and Nu-Blu sharing a love of innovation. After a highly successful 2015 tour, the chart-topping quartet will set their sights on the New Year, as they bring their power acoustic sound to even more audiences than ever before.

"I'm delighted to continue our partnership with Nu-Blu to promote excellence in bluegrass music" said Scott R. Peterson, president of Peterson Tuners. "The combination of the band's outstanding creativity and work ethic with the 'Sound of Precision' that our tuners make possible is a real winner!"

Along the journey, Nu-Blu will be making a stop in Raleigh, for the International Bluegrass Music Association's annual convention. All of the genre's top acts come together to recognize the accomplishments of the musicians. The key mission for IBMA is that it "connects and educates bluegrass professionals, empowers the bluegrass community, and encourages worldwide appreciation of bluegrass music of yesterday, today and tomorrow." In addition to several showcase performances, the Nu-Blu/Peterson bus will be on display at the Peterson Tuners booth on Oct. 2 and Oct. 3 inside the Raleigh Convention Center, in addition to being open for bus tours.

Check out Nu-Blu at the following IBMA showcase performances below:
Sep. 29, CBA Showcase, Raleigh Marriott City Center, 9:30pm
Oct. 1, Bluegrass Ramble Local Grass Series The Architect Bar, 11pm.
Oct. 3, Wide Open Bluegrass Street Fest, Davie St. Stage, 2:30pm
Nu-Blu is hitting the road in support of their critically acclaimed album, All The Way. The project was fueled by the lead George Jones tribute single, "Jesus and Jones," which featured Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon Sam Moore. The dynamic pairing performed the hit on Imus in the Morning, Fox News' Huckabee, and Reno's Old Time Music. The current single, "That's What Makes the Bluegrass Blue" featuring Rhonda Vincent is racing up the charts. In addition to already hitting #1 on Sirius-XM Bluegrass Junction's Most Played Tracks earlier this year, the song recently hit #1 on Power Source Magazine's Bluegrass Top 10 for the month of August, after jumping 9 spots.

About Nu-Blu:
Nu-Blu, based in Siler City in central North Carolina, is comprised of Carolyn, who handles bass and vocals; Levi Austin on vocals and banjo; Milom Williams II, on mandolin; and Daniel, who is the band's Renaissance Man - guitarist, singer, manager, and tour coordinator, among many other roles. The group brings its lively and entertaining version of Americana-bluegrass music to audiences across the nation year-round. Their sound acknowledges the traditional institutions that have shaped it, yet is innovative and daring enough to bring a fresh sparkle to contemporary acoustic music that lands them squarely in the forefront of bands blazing the trail in acoustic entertainment. Influences range from the sounds of original bluegrass pioneers like Earl Scruggs, Jimmy Martin and Lester Flatt to rock bands of the 1980's, and modern contemporary sounds such as Alison Krauss and Union Station. Carolyn's soprano vocal approach might be described as similar to Ms. Krauss, except she carries a phrasing and emotional elegance that shows a clear originality. Daniel and Levi provide inventive singing to fill out the vocal sound, while all four members present instrumental prowess to impress.
