Nissan Celebrates Fifth Anniversary Of First Leaf Delivery With Crowd-Sourced Playlist On Spotify
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Nissan today launches a Spotify playlist specially curated by LEAF fans around the world in celebration of the fifth anniversary of the delivery of the world's first all-electric Nissan LEAF.

"Nissan LEAF owners are among our most enthusiastic customers, and we wanted to get them involved in a unique way as we celebrate LEAF's anniversary, so we asked followers on Facebook and Twitter which songs they would choose to honor the all-electric vehicle's five years on the road," said Andrew Speaker, director, Electric Vehicle Sales & Marketing, Nissan. "With suggestions ranging from No. 1 hits to obscure B-side tracks, LEAF fans helped us cultivate the perfect soundtrack for this occasion."

Users can search for the "100% Nissan LEAF 5th Birthday" playlist on Spotify and enjoy 10 fan-suggested songs that can be streamed via the Bluetooth connection in the Nissan LEAF or other Nissan models.

The first all-electric Nissan LEAF was delivered on Dec. 11, 2010, to Olivier Chalouhi of San Francisco, and since then Nissan has become the world's leader in electric vehicle sales with nearly 200,000 all-electric LEAF vehicles sold globally and more than 88,000 sold in the U.S.

Nissan recently introduced the new 2016 LEAF, which has available best-in-class range of 107 miles, making it the first affordable EV to get more than 100 miles on a single charge. The 2016 Nissan LEAF has a starting price of $26,700* after the federal tax credit of $7,500 for the SV model and $29,290* for LEAF SL after the federal tax credit. Both the SV and SL models feature the new 30 kWh battery that offers an EPA-rated range of 107** miles on a single charge. Nissan LEAF S models continue to be equipped with a 24 kWh battery with an EPA-estimated range of 84** miles. Starting price for 2016 Nissan LEAF S grade remains $21,510* after the federal tax incentive.

All LEAF models feature an 80kW AC synchronous motor that generates 107 horsepower and 187 lb-ft of torque, providing a highly responsive, fun-to-drive experience that consumers often expect from traditional, gasoline-powered vehicles. Unlike internal combustion engine-equipped vehicles, LEAF has no tailpipe, which means there is no emission of CO2 or other greenhouse gases.
