Layout Improvements For All, Even Less Ads
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) We have been at this road for a while now, removing some ads from the news section (Aug'18), from the songs and artists pages (Mar'19), and the mobile version (Apr'19).

Today we're taking a couple more steps. First, across the entire desktop site, the sidebar that mainly contained ads is removed. The change also means there is more space for the content (which obviously matters most!). Especially on videos pages, this means a much better view, even for guests and free-for-ever members.

Furthermore, the top banner will not be shown if we don't have an ad to show. Previously we were showing a banner of our own advertising our features or subscriptions.

In some pages (songs, charts) there is an addition of banners, but overall there is a reduction of ads shown by about 15%. This would not have been possible without the support of our subscribers. For them, we'll have some good news in the coming weeks. Thank you, moving forward to do more!
