New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Yxng Bane and Timberland have collaborated on the music video for "Slip n' Slide", taken from Bane's mixtape HBK - released November 9th. The collab is part of Timberland's mission to 'Celebrate the Icons' as they mark the 45th anniversary of the iconic yellow boot.

The original Timberland boot, favoured by workmen since its launch in the 70's, was brought to cultural prominence in the 90's by American hip-hop artists. The popularity of the boot within the music industry elevated its status into a timeless fashion staple.

Honouring those tastemakers who fused music, art and fashion, inspirations for the "Slip n' Slide" video came from icons including; Wu-Tang Clan, Mobb Deep, Spike Lee and Tupac, with references throughout the styling, choreography, staging and cinematography. Shot in East London, the video was produced by Electric Light Studios with art direction by Aaron Sillis and directorial input from G FrSH.

Known for his unique blend of singing and rapping on his tracks, Yxng Bane's sound is fresh and inspiring, with honest lyricism and incredibly catchy melodies. "Slip n' Slide" is from Bane's HBK mixtape released November 9th on Disturbing London.

Speaking about the video Yxng Bane said, "I look back on music icons like Boyz II Men, 2Pac, Biggie & Mase, Isley Brothers, R Kelly and Dipset who were part of a generation of artists that rewrote music culture in the 90's - their influence is still strongly felt in the industry today, it's impossible not to be inspired by that. Timberland are still a huge part of that scene and continue to inspire artists today, so partnering on this video felt like a natural continuation."

To celebrate Timberland's 45th anniversary, the company has introduced a special collection that exclusively celebrates the yellow boot and other iconic styles. Each boot is reimagined with sapphire highlights - a symbol of the 45th anniversary - and features premium details like two-tone yellow-and-sapphire laces, a dedicated hangtag and a tongue embossed with the 45th anniversary logo. The 45th anniversary collection is available online and in-stores now.

Timberland is a global leader in the design, manufacturing and marketing of premium footwear, apparel, and accessories for the outdoor lifestyle. Best known for the original yellow boot introduced in 1973, Timberland today outfits consumers from toe-to-head, with versatile collections that reflect the brand's rich heritage of craftsmanship, function and style.

Crossing over niche and mainstream, Yxng Bane shot to fame with his cover of Ed Sheeran's "Shape Of You" which was later declared the official remix by Ed Sheeran himself and has since accumulated over 17 Million views. Dominating the UK Top 20, going platinum with "Bestie", (his collaborative single with Yungen) and hitting the Top 10 for 4 weeks running with "Answerphone" - a collab with Banx & Ranx and Ella Eyre, Bane went on to reach the Top 30 with his single "Vroom". The young star was tipped on the BBC Sound Poll, VEVO and Deezer 'One's To Watch' for this year and hasn't disappointed. With performances at the 02 Arena (1XTRA Live), Royal Albert Hall, and now his own headline show at Kentish Town Forum, there is no sign of Yxng Bane slowing down.
