David Guetta Scores His Highest USA Chart Position With Top 5 Debut Of 'Nothing But The Beat'
New York, NY (Top40 Charts/ Capitol Records) Global superstar DJ/Producer David Guetta's brand-new album Nothing But The Beat (Capitol/Astralwerks) debuts in the top 5 on the Billboard 200 album chart, selling 55,730 copies in the first week of sales. This marks Guetta's highest sales week and highest chart position to date in the U.S. The album has sold 1.5 million singles through street week; including nearly 1 million digital downloads of first single 'Where Them Girls At' featuring Nicki Minaj and Flo-Rida. Around the globe Nothing But The Beat debuted top 5 in twelve countries, including a No 1 bow in France, Austria, Belgium and Mexico while landing at No 2 in England, Germany, Italy and Spain.

'If David Guetta's fifth album doesn't convince you that he's the Bono of the four-on-the-floor beat, it does show you how good he is at making Eurohouses's thumping trounce and jet-engine synth whoosh feel like natural elements in the hip-hop, R&B and even rock continuum.' Rolling Stone

'The French DJ's first album since becoming the biggest party-starter on the planet is a 13-track hit parade of monster club anthems' Spin

'Throughout, Guetta keeps the energy focused and infectious' USA Today

The album features an all-star cast including Akon, Chris Brown, Dev, Flo Rida, Jennifer Hudson, Jessie J, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, Nicki Minaj, Sia, Snoop Dog, Taio Cruz, Timbaland, Usher, and will.i.am. Two deluxe editions, one physical and one digital, feature six futuristic, electronic, instrumental tracks that illustrate why Guetta is the world's No 1 beat-meister, showcasing the underground dance culture in which his roots lay.

Guetta's latest single 'Without You' featuring R&B superstar Usher which has been proclaimed the album's 'best jam' by People Magazine and the 'centrepiece' by Billboard, was the most added song at Top 40 radio the last two weeks. It debuted on the Top 40 airplay charts this week at No 31, two weeks ahead of its official impact date. It follows Guetta's summer smash 'Where Them Girls At' featuring Nicki Minaj and Flo-Rida which reached No 13 on the Top 40 airplay charts a few weeks ago. The video has been viewed over 51 million times on VEVO. The video for the album's second European single 'Little Bad Girl' featuring Taio Cruz and Ludacris has been viewed nearly 25 million times.

Last week Guetta performed 'Where Them Girls At' on television for the first time with Nicki Minaj and Flo-Rida on the No 1 rated 'America's Got Talent.' He also attended a Los Angeles screening of his documentary Nothing But The Beat, produced by Coca Cola's Burn Energy Drink in conjunction with his own 'What A Music.' After the screening he posed for photos in front of the historic Capitol Records building which was lit red to celebrate the release of Nothing But The Beat and then attended an album release party. Guetta wrapped his album release activities with headline performances at Chicago's North Coast Music Festival and NYC's Electric Zoo. Guetta will return stateside later this month to play the iHeartRadio Music Festival in Las Vegas on Sep. 24th.

Nothing But The Beat is the follow-up to Guetta's 2009 world-wide break-through One Love, which has sold over three million albums and 12 million singles. One Love and its re-release One More Love earned Guetta back to back Best Remix Grammy Award wins for his remix of 'When Love Takes Over' featuring Kelly Rowland, and his David Guetta vs. Madonna remix of the queen of pop's 'Revolver.' Guetta has over 23 million fans on Facebook, over 1.6 million followers on Twitter and has over half a billion views on YouTube, more than any other electronic artist, making him one of the most watched people on the planet.
