LONDON, UK (80s website) - A former pop star is among 30 people arrested after a police operation targeting kerb crawlers in the Kings Cross area.
Police said they launched Operation Berrow after the local community complained about the effects of kerb crawling.
Along with the arrest of 24 people for kerb crawling, police also arrested a man on suspicion of assaulting a sex worker. Three sex workers were also taken in custody, along with another person who was arrested for possession of a lock knife.
Operation Berrow began on Sunday, May 23, and ran until the evening of last Thursday, May 27.

It was reported that Nathan Moore, 39, the former singer of 1980s pop outfit Brother Beyond, was among those arrested in the crackdown. He has been charged with soliciting and is due in court tomorrow.
Martin Clark - from Camden police - paid tribute to the assistance offered to the operation by the local community. "Without them it wouldn't have been the success it was."
Operation Berrow had highlighted continuing problems with kerb-crawling and shown that it attracted offenders from across different groups within society, he said.
