Peter Bjorn & John Returns To US In 2019
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Peter Bjorn and John will be returning to the US at the end of April as they continue to tour in support of their eighth LP Darker Days - released on October 19th via INGRID. The late spring US trek comes on the heels of additional European and UK dates including their first ever show in Croatia at the INmusic Festival alongside the Cure,Garbage, Foals and Kurt Vile and The Violators.

In addition, the band will release more new music on February 22nd when they drop a new EP aptly titled EPBJ. Recorded during the same sessions as their latest LP, the three songs featured on the EP - "Bones," "Darker Days" and "Saying Goodbye" - showcase a softer and more introspective side of the band.

Peter Bjorn and John is excited to return to the US for another leg of the #darkerdaystour that has them visiting several cities they didn't get a chance to play this past winter including Seattle and Philadelphia and has the band hitting the Southern US for the first time since the release ofDarker Days. They ended their winter 2018 tour with a sold-out show at the Independent in SF and stuck around an extra day to play a very special KCRW Morning Becomes Eclectic Bay Area Session. Recorded and filmed at the Swedish American Music Hall with a live audience and Chris Douridas on hand to chat with the band, the session went up on December 21st and you can watch it in full by clicking HERE.

The new album earned the Swedish trio some raves from the media with a number of outlets claiming Darker Days was the band's best release since 2006's Writer's Block LP. The album was included in ABC News' "50 Best Albums of 2018" who wrote "...their inherent chemistry as musicians make this trio special and this collection, with its experimental edges, provides another excellent addition to their discography." Other coverage included NPR, Pitchfork,Mother Jones, Stereogum, Billboard, BlackBook, The Guardian, FLOOD, Clash, and The Line of Best Fit among others.

As they celebrate 20 years together this year, Peter Bjorn and John is looking forward to releasing the EPBJ EP and hit the road again this spring. All confirmed tour dates are below and for the most up-to-date info, please visit www.peterbjornandjohn.com.
