WEST MIFFLIN, PA. (Top40 Charts/ ISDA PR) - The Italian Sons and Daughters of America (ISDA) & Kennywood are proud to present the 75th Annual Italian Day at Kennywood on Tuesday, July 17, 2007. Festive Italian music, food and entertainment offer the chance to make a new memory - with an Italian twist!

"It's an innate trait of Americans of Italian origin to be very family oriented and celebrate our heritage and culture," explains Ralph Hartford, National President of the Order Italian Sons & Daughters of America. "Italian Day at Kennywood is a great time to see people, meet friends and the prefect opportunity for family to get together." The ISDA shows that family and friends are of utmost importance by once again providing rides, food, and spending money for over 600 special needs children on Italian Day.

Guests will enjoy many extras on Italian Day, including jugglers, stilt walkers, a Puppa Doll*, face painters, and live music. The new ethnic kitchen features Italian fare from Bravo Italian Kitchen, Mariani's Gourmet Foods, Joyce's Homemade Cookies, and Christopher's of Jeannette.

The Musical Line up in Pavilion No 5 begins at 4:30pm with Dr. Zoot, a rockin' swing band playing classic swing favorites and Dr. Zoot originals. Ray Massa's EuroRhythms performs next. This dynamic and energetic group bridges the gap between American & Italian venues for festival entertainment while revitalizing the mystique and romantic excitement of Italian music. Bo Wagner brings the day's musical performances to a close with "Let's be Frank" (Frank Sinatra, that is!) from 8:15 to 9:30pm.

A pizza-eating contest takes places on the Kennyville stage at 3:30pm. At 6pm Kenny Kangaroo escorts marching bands, Sicilian carts, politicians, local celebrities, calliope music and even a gondola in the Italian Day Parade.

Italian Day has another tradition that dates back 75 years - ending the day with spectacular fireworks. The evening sky will again light up with flashes up red, white and green at 10 p.m. as Zambelli Fireworks International puts on a display worthy of the Italians!

*Note: for those of us who are "honorary" Italians, a Puppa Doll is a huge doll/puppet. Expect to see her walking around the park in a long skirt.
