A Veteran Crew Of Grammy Winners And Nominees Unite To Help A Soulful 11-year-old Pop-rock Singer Realize A Dream "Stirring Rainbows"
Charleston, SC (Top40 Charts/ Great Scott P.R.oductions) "You should live your life the way you choose, living your dreams and not someone else's," said 11-year-old Karoline about the title of her debut album, "Stirring Rainbows," which will be released March 13th on the Moonwatcher Music record label. An old soul possessing innate abilities, passion and focus brimful of youthful enthusiasm and exuberance, Karoline co-wrote three songs for the ten-song collection with producer Joe Taylor, a Grammy nominated guitarist who recruited an accomplished cast of Grammy winners and veteran musicians, engineers and mixers to record the soulful pop-rock singer's disc. Although the album release is months away, it took only a matter of weeks for the buzz about Karoline's forthcoming disc to generate nearly 15,000 Facebook "likes."

The "Stirring Rainbows" album contains eight originals, including the title track and "Big World" that were penned for Karoline by Taylor in addition to the trio of tunes that he inked with the artist - "He's Just A Boy," "Karma's On The Devil's Playground," and "You're Too Late." The compositions showcase Karoline's inherent ability as a storyteller as "He's Just A Boy" and "You're Too Late" are true stories, the latter of which was the first song she ever composed. She wrote both melody and lyric by singing the fully realized song into her computer's video camera and emailed the clip to Taylor. "Karma's On The Devil's Playground" advocates good behavior or face the consequences of karma. Acclaimed songwriter Jeff Franzel (Taylor Swift, *NSYNC, Clay Aiken) wrote the other new songs - "Modern Girl," "Happy" and "Six Minutes" - the latter of which was saved specifically for Karoline as it relates to moving on and leaving friends at school. It's a subject matter to which the now home-schooled Karoline can relate. Karoline also recorded a pair of covers: "Our Lips Are Sealed," a topical tune that she selected to address the epidemic of bullying, and the bluesy "Black Velvet," on which she belted out her gritty vocals with confidence and sass. To advance the album, a three-song sampler - "Big World," "Stirring Rainbows" and "Modern Girl" - was recently serviced to radio stations across the nation.

Taylor's vivid production favors live instrumentation adeptly performed with a standard guitars, bass, keyboards and drums configuration yet he carefully adorned the tracks with swatches of shimmering pop gloss that neither overshadow nor interfere with the delivery of Karoline's vocal intensity or impede the flow of the infectious melodies. Adding vibrant colors and textures to the tracks, Taylor played electric and acoustic guitars, keyboards, loops and beats, orchestration and hand percussion. Accompanying him were drummers Tony "Thunder" Smith (Jeff Beck, Santana, Lou Reed) and Bryan Compton (The Wicked Felinas), and bassists Jim Blakeslee (Killer Whales) and Sean O'Bryan Smith (Keith Urban, Kenny Rogers, Lady Antebellum). Three-time Grammy winner Steve Churchyard (Katy Perry, The Pretenders, Avril Lavigne) mixed the collection with additional mixing and mastering completed by three-time Grammy winner Steve Rosenthal (The Rolling Stones, Sam Cooke, Natalie Merchant).

Commenting further about the album title, Karoline said, "'Stirring Rainbows' is my favorite song on the album. I think that the lyrics mean life can blow as hard as it wants, but it will just make me burn brighter. Of all the songs on the album, including the three that I wrote with Joe (Taylor), I relate to that song the most, and I think a lot of young people will, too. Joe said he thinks my singing sounds like a painter slinging colors on a canvas, or somebody stirring up the colors in a rainbow."

A native of Charleston, South Carolina, where she started singing at random places at the age of three, Karoline has sung the National Anthem prior to professional sporting contests throughout the southeast where she surprised fans with her powerful delivery. She met Taylor when she was 10. Impressed, they soon began work on the "Stirring Rainbows" album. Karoline has performed at various nightclubs, including last month at a local holiday benefit concert where the blossoming singer took command of the show from Taylor and his musical cohorts. She even traded licks during a group jam session finale on The Rolling Stones' classic "Gimme Shelter." In anticipation of top-lining her own concert dates, Karoline recently flew to Los Angeles to commence work developing her live show with choreographer Matt Steffanina (Chris Brown, Snoop Dogg, LMFAO).
