Ariana & The Rose's "Glittery And Galactic" New EP Out In March
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Pop auteur and artist Ariana and the Rose, inspired by the polar excitement of love and loss, and fuelled by existential uncertainty, will release her new EP 'Retrograde' on March 24. The "glittery and galactic" (V Magazine) four-song EP showcases the evolution of Ariana's art and exudes an ebullient cool with dance floor wonder.

Vice Noisey, Nylon, V Magazine, Wonderland, and Clash Magazine are already fans of Ariana and the Rose, and Red Bull Music calls her "both intriguing but knock-your-socks-off immediate at the same time." These new songs feature production contributions from Tom Fuller, Me Not You, and RKCB, and orbit the same meticulous, metallic pop universe created by Robyn and Kate Bush.

Recently-released single "Love You Lately" is a magnetic, head-bobbing duet with LA electro-R&B duo RKCB, and "[brings] out a more sultry, R&B-toned side to Ariana," while the song "captures the sting of relationship disintegration" (Noisey). "Supercool" sketches an image of a picturesque party lifestyle while peering beneath that deceptive façade which Nylon calls "a rich portrait of New York" with "cosmic-tinted electro beats" (Nylon). Opening track "How Does That Make You Feel" features Ariana's wispy falsetto, underpinned by massive percussion, atmospheric synths, and modulated vocal harmonies. Ariana's captivating voice is surrounded by ethereal instrumentation on "the haunting and cool" (PopDust) "These Ruins," which feels like exploring an unknown-yet-faintly-recognizable universe, capped off by a crescendo of drums. These four tracks paint a moody, otherworldly electronic hue, each thematically rooted in those ideas of love and loss.

"This EP marks the end of a period of my life that most literally felt like it was in retrograde," says Ariana. "Each track encapsulates these moments over the last year or so where I was really defining myself personally and artistically and the music is a sonic exploration of that growth and ultimately personal transformation."

An artist who embraces an audio-visual approach to creativity, Ariana has curated an interactive performance and music event called Light + Space, a performance that transcends the traditional boundaries of a concert. By blurring the lines between immersive performance and the audience, Ariana brings her "neon-lit, glittery and glam" (PopCrush) style to life while bringing "fantasy to the pop world" (Red Bull Music). Already a big hit in the UK, future Light + Space events are planned stateside in 2017 with a NYC performance planned for the first half of the year.

Ariana and the Rose will also perform at SXSW 2017. Further live details to come.
