LONDON, UK (Top40 Charts) The BBC today announces its coverage plans for the world�s most exciting music festival � Glastonbury.
Once again, BBC
Music will be presenting a programming feast, delivering extensive coverage for audiences tuning in via radio, online and TV with even more to see via BBC Red Button.

Coverage will include live-streams from six key music stages including the BBC
Music Introducing stage (which supports unsigned and under-the-radar musicians), reflecting the wealth and breadth of acts at the festival � from the biggest headliners to some of the newest talent on the music scene.
The BBC�s coverage will be fronted by some of the UK�s most-loved presenters - including Chris Evans, Jo Whiley, Dermot O�Leary,
Lauren Laverne, Steve Lamacq, Cerys Matthews, Trevor Nelson, Mark Radcliffe, Huw Stephens, Gemma Cairney, Greg James,
Annie Mac, Yasser,
Clara Amfo, Alice Levine, DJ Target and
Martin Dougan as well as others still to be confirmed. They will be on hand to bring audiences the magic of Glastonbury as we capture the most memorable moments as they happen.
And this year, the new BBC
Music app will give users access to more Glastonbury than ever before, allowing them to personalise their journey according to their personal preferences. The free app, which launched earlier this year, will be packed with exclusive full sets and tracks from across the weekend, allowing audiences to get up close and personal with the music that they love.
Last year, 18.9 million people saw some of the BBC�s coverage, with an audience of 1.8 million tuning in to Lionel Richie�s Sunday afternoon legends slot.
This year marks the 20th year of BBC Television coverage of the festival, which began in 1997.
Over 25 hours of TV coverage will be spread across BBC One (The One Show), BBC Two and BBC Four.
The One Show kicks off the BBC TV coverage of the festival with a 30-minute show fronted by Alex Jones and Greg James. They�ll be joined by a number of special guests on the famous sofa.
BBC Two will once again be the home of the Pyramid Stage headliners with Muse,
Adele and Coldplay�s sets being broadcast in their entirety along with that of the Sunday teatime legend, Jeff Lynne�s ELO. The channel will also show highlights from the artists playing on a variety of stages on Friday evening, Saturday afternoon and late night on Saturday and Sunday.
BBC Four will also feature a variety of whole sets across the weekend, including the likes of Foals, New Order, PJ
Harvey and Earth Wind & Fire, along with extended highlights from a variety of other acts.
Coverage across the TV channels will be fronted by Jo Whiley,
Lauren Laverne, Mark Radcliffe, Gemma Cairney,
Clara Amfo, Huw Stephens and
Martin Dougan. Glastonbury is commissioned for television by Jan Younghusband, Head of Commissioning

Annie Mac will kick off the BBC's Glastonbury coverage on
Thursday evening with a live broadcast from the Introducing stage with live performances and DJs.
Radio 1's
Clara Amfo, Huw Stephens and Alice Levine will also broadcast shows from the site alongside a live Essential Mix featuring
Annie Mac, Four Tet,
Julio Bashmore and Kowton. 1Xtra will broadcast an all-female DJ line-up from the Wow stage alongside DJ Target with a BBC Introducing special.
Over on
Radio 2, The Chris Evans Breakfast Show, which reaches an average weekly audience of 9.73m listeners, will be coming live from site on Friday 24 June. Other network presenters including Jo Whiley, Dermot O�Leary and Trevor Nelson, who will be experiencing his first ever Glastonbury, will be at Worthy Farm.
6 Music�s programming will be fronted by
Lauren Laverne, Tom Ravenscroft, Steve Lamacq and Cerys Matthews.
BBC Asian Network presenter Yasser will be representing BBC Introducing for the radio networks, bringing the best of new and emerging talent to various shows. He will broadcast a special show for the Asian Network at a later date.
BBC Glastonbury�s digital offer returns this year with online live streams of six stages, all in HD and available to watch on the BBC Glastonbury website across the weekend. There will be around 120 performances available on demand at bbc.co.uk/glastonbury and BBC iPlayer, with high-quality pictures from the Pyramid, Other, West Holts, Park, John Peel, and BBC Introducing stages as well as roaming photography from around the festival.
Glastonbury gets personal for the first time this year, and users who sign in to the website can follow the artists they love from the line-up and get videos direct to their personal hub at bbc.co.uk/glastonbury. They will also be able to share their own unique Glastonbury line-up poster featuring their must-see acts.
Returning this year is BBC Glastonbury's webcam. Already up and running, the webcam will capture unique views of the Worthy Farm fields as they blossom into the world�s most famous festival site.
BBC Glastonbury�s social networking sites are already live and kicking with daily updates and news from @bbcglasto, building up to guide audiences on how to watch this year�s event. The BBC�s digital offering will be overseen by Rory Connolly.
Returning to Glastonbury for its ninth year, BBC Introducing will once again be showcasing some fantastic new under-the-radar talent and some special, surprise slots from BBC Introducing�s finest alumni.
With nearly 600,000 unique tracks uploaded to the BBC Introducing website and over 170,000 artists registered since its launch at Glastonbury in 2007, BBC Introducing provides a network dedicated to supporting the best emerging talent from across the UK, and a platform to propel them onto the national stage through
Radio 1, 1Xtra,
Radio 2, 6 Music,
Radio 3 and the Asian Network, plus giving up-and-coming artists broadcast opportunities on BBC Radio, Television and Online alongside the chance to performance at major festivals and international showcases. It has helped launch the careers of acts such as Jake Bugg,
George Ezra, Florence + the Machine,
James Bay, Slaves, Catfish and the Bottlemen, SOAK,
Rae Morris and many more. The full line-up of acts performing will be announced at a later stage.
And backstage in the BBC compound, the BBC
Music Tipi will feature exclusive live performances for the audience at home.
