Sydney, Au. (EMi Music Australia) - Unleashing his alter-ego Bob Evans for a second album release, Jebediah vocalist/guitarist Kevin Mitchell will release 'Suburban Songbook' on June 10 via his new home at EMI.

Lyrically, Bob Evans transcends the country tinges of his Nashville recorded album to focus on homespun intimacies. Big adventures can indeed happen in little worlds and it's this theme of bringing everything back to the suburban viewpoint that is carried throughout the album. Nashville based Brad Jones (Josh Rouse, Yo La Tengo, Sheryl Crow) was enlisted to produce the album which follows Bob's acclaimed debut album 'Suburban Kid'.

Preceding the album release will be the alt-country first single 'Don't You Think It's Time?', which is instore May 13. Of the track Bob says, 'I was listening to a lot of Johnny Cash at the time (November 2004) and this was one of the songs that came out of that brief dalliance. Of course it sounds nothing like Johnny Cash, mostly because of my voice, I s'pose, but I think I wanted to write a folk-country song. I tried to be a little bit brave, lyrically, as well. I pushed myself not to be too embarrassed to write lyrics that would shy away from what I wanted to put across. Some people might interpret as a personal love song, others as something more universal.'

Bob is about to tour the country with Josh Pyke on the following dates and tickets are selling so fast that extra dates were added in Sydney and Melbourne before the tour even started!

Tickets are on sale now, check out the TOURS section for dates and venues

Bob Evan's new single 'Don't You Think It's Time?' instore May 13, from the album 'Suburban Songbook' instore June 10.
