NEW YORK (Top40 Charts) - Beastie Boy Adam Yauch, Patti Smith, and Brazilian artist Bebel Gilberto have been added to the 12th Annual Tibet House Benefit concert at New York's Carnegie Hall on Feb. 22, according to the official Tibet House Web site ( www.tibethouse.org). The newcomers join previously announced acts David Bowie (who, along with wife Iman, actress Uma Thurman, actor Ethan Hawke, and others, is an honorary chairperson of the event), the Kronos Quartet, Nawang Khechog, Tibetan monks from the Drepung Gomang Monastery, and Philip Glass, who also serves as the event's artistic director. Additional performers are expected to be announced soon. Tickets ($30-$75) for the always star-studded event are available via Carnegie Charge at 212-247-7800 or the Carnegie box office.
