Carly Paoli Described As "Amazing" By 16-time Grammy Winner David Foster And Praised By Aerosmith Singer Steven Tyler
LOS ANGELES, CA (Top40 Charts/ HO PR) Carly Paoli was tipped as an "amazing" talent by 16-time Grammy Award winner David Foster as she made her international debut in Canada this week.

Classically-trained Carly, 25, gave a special performance at a Welcome Reception dinner for 120 guests, including Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, at The Fairmont Palliser hotel in Calgary on September 26.

She performed three songs, Angel Save Your Love for Me by Donnie Demers, Cinema Paradiso by Ennio Morricone and I Te Vurria Vasa (I Want to Be Kissing You) by 19th century Italian composer Eduardo Di Capua.

Afterwards David Foster, one of the world's most successful record producers who has worked with global stars including Celine Dion and Barbra Streisand, described the performance as "amazing."

He said: "I thought Carly was amazing. She had such a presence. I mean put that together with a great voice and you've got a winner.

"I didn't know what to expect because I had heard very little, I hadn't heard Carly sing live, but she sung beautifully, unbelievably, and I was so impressed."

Foster, who has sold over 100 million albums in a career spanning four decades, added: "Carly just had so much confidence up there. Of course if you have a voice like that, why would you not be confident? But the way she phrased and held on to the note, it was beautiful. I was really, really impressed."

Aerosmith lead singer Steven Tyler, who also attended the event, also paid tribute to Carly's performance adding: "I did see Carly, I was at the back taking pictures and what I heard was very good."

The intimate Welcome Reception was hosted jointly by Bedat & Co. Geneve, the leading craftsman of fine timepieces for women - and the David Foster Foundation, which raises money for the families of children who need organ transplants.

The event was followed with a second appearance by Carly, accompanied on the piano by David Foster, on September 27 at the David Foster Foundation Miracle Concert at the WestJet Campus in Calgary.
