Don't Miss This Performance...Share, Entertain, And Inspire!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Celebrating 30 years, Latin Grammy Award Winning internationally revered band of Afro-Cuban singers, dancers, and drummers heralded worldwide for performing sacred Afro-Cuban songs and dance based on West African traditions - YORUBA ANDABO - complete with 17 musicians, dancers and singers direct from Cuba will perform their inaugural DC Concert at George Washington University's Lisner Auditorium in Washington, DC on Friday, November 6, 2015 with an opening set by Washington, DC's own Farafina Kan: The Sound of Africa.

Yoruba Andabo are world renown for preserving sacred West African music that was bought to the island by enslaved Africans in the late 16th century. The ensemble takes its name from two African words loosely translated as the friends and followers of the Yoruba lands and culture. Yorubaland covers much of what is known as Nigeria and Benin today. The port docks of Havana, slave barracks, cane field settlements, and urban tenements in Cuba gave birth to rumba music. In addition to performing Yoruba-based music from West Africa, Yoruba Andabo is widely proclaimed as the leading rumba group on the world music scene today.

Presented by The Adinkra Group and Asase Yaa Cultural Arts Foundation in partnership with the Yoruba Cuba Association, Yoruba Andabo is celebrating their 30th Anniversary with a 3 city tour to the United States.
