NEW YORK (Top40 Charts/ Top40 Charts/ By Tiffany Shipp/ Sunshine, Sachs & Associates) - Five-time Grammy Award winner John Mayer will celebrate the holiday season, and five new Nominations, with his 2nd Annual Holiday Acoustic Revue concert on Saturday, December 6th at LA's Nokia Theater. His solo acoustic performance will be preceded by a performance from Adele, the break through artist from the UK who last night earned a Grammy Nomination for Best New Artist.

The concert will benefit Toys for Tots and the Los Angeles Food Bank. Fans are asked to bring a new, unwrapped toy (of $10 value or more) to the show and deposit them in the bins manned by the Marines dressed in blue at the venue.

Since Mayer's acclaimed studio album CONTINUUM was released in late 2006, he has maintained a focus on music that was recognized by the Recording Academy five times over. As a songwriter, vocalist, performer and collaborator, each of his recent projects were nominated - from "Say," his single composed for the film, The Bucket List, staring Jack Nicholson and Morgan Freeman, to his live CD/DVD & BluRay release, WHERE THE LIGHT IS, to his collaboration with Alicia Keys on a song titled, "Lesson Learned," contained on her album, As I Am.

Known for diverse collaborations, Mayer made his annual Thanksgiving appearance on The Late Show with David Letterman last week, performing Frank Sinatra's classic, "In The Wee Small Hours of the Morning" with special guest Chris Botti. On December 3rd, he closed the show, performing with the legendary BB King during the first ever broadcast of the "GRAMMY Nominations Concert Live!! - Countdown To Music's Biggest Nigh.t"

On the horizon, 2009 promises lots of surprises from the performer, as well as the 2nd annual voyage aboard the Mayercraft Carrier, which will sail from Los Angeles to Cabo San Lucas, Mexico from March 27 through 31st. On this year's cruise onboard Carnival Cruise Line's newest and biggest ship, The Splendor, music fans will enjoy performances by John Mayer, O.A.R., Guster and over a dozen other bands for.
