Sheer is streaming its entire new LP 'Uneasy' on Bullett Magazine. Accompanying the stream is a track-by-track commentary from the band themselves.
The LP is out digitally and on limited edition cassette this Friday, November 20th via The Native Sound.
Bullett says, "Noisome, harrowing shoe-gaze is in no short supply of late, so it's a tricky proposition to stand out from the overstuffed genre. But, as with any style of music, there's a simple solution to that problem: write viscerally effective songs. Easier said than done, of course, but on Uneasy, from LA four piece Sheer, Gina Almaguer and company erect massive edifices of feedback that they cut through with melody, as on "
Monochrome" the LP's opening track. Elsewhere, on songs like "Ojai", the evoke the lush, and Lush, sounds of 90s alt-rock, with guitar leads knifing through the fuzz and countering the more pop-focused melodies of the vocals."

Sheer formed in the summer of 2014, quickly becoming a staple in the greater LA scene,
The band channels an earnestness redolent to that of mid-90s emo and indie rock, while primarily occupying a reverb-induced space suggestive of Galaxie 500 and The Jesus And Mary Chain.
While Uneasy introduces the band as one with a kinship for catchy, pop-informed melodies, their focus relies most heavily on building evocative and emotive soundscapes.
