STARK To Play Girls Rock And Girls Rule Showcase

GRGR continues its fierce femme rocker onslaught, bringing you the highest caliber of emerging artists on the NYC music scene. STARK played Make Music New York for the 3rd year in a row. This year, the whole band was featured on the Punk Island stage 11 at Governor's Island during a day of free music throughout the whole city June 21st.

STARK has been selected to showcase at the Indiegrrl Conference in Nashville, TN, August 20-23, 2009. Lani Ford and Joe Hogan will represent the band with duo acoustic performances on the Tryxo, Nette Radio and Indiegrrl main stages.

On May 13, 2008, Lani Ford had her 15 minutes of fame (or shame) on Arizzma Radio's RewBee's World also on You Tube at www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dv3Cg7t9Uo. Lani Ford, a multi ASCAP Plus award winner and Daisy Rock Guitars endorsed artist, is also a featured Triple R Girl for June on www.rockandrollreport.com.

STARK recently released a music video for the song 'OH NO!' directed by Joe Covino of East Village Studios and shot in Coney Island, New York and at Arlene's Grocery in NYC. The video has been accepted into the New York International Independent Film and Video Festival as well as the Royal Flush Film Festival, both in New York in October 2009.

STARK's latest CD Put It To Your Head has been receiving great press and radio all over the world, especially in the U.S., the UK, Germany, Belgium and Australia since it's release in January 2008. STARK is currently mixing a third album of nine songs, Race To The Floor, to be released this summer.
