New York-based songwriter and performer Shaina Taub recently released a masterpiece of a debut album with Visitors. With the New York Times called her "poised to break out" and frequent comparisons to
Regina Spektor and Carole King, this soulful folk artist (who has written and arranged for theater and even Sesame Street) is absolutely a performer worth watching.
Last year, Taub made her Lincoln Center solo concert debut in their 2015 American Songbook series. Watch her stunning piano performance of "Room" below.
Up next for Taub is a performance in Old Hats, a show at the Signature Theater in New York City starring phenomenal physical comedians Bill Irwin and
David Shiner. She has also confirmed a CD-related concert for Joe's Pub in New York City on March 28th. The show will feature an ensemble of 26 musicians, performing the album live in its entirety. For more information on the event, visit the Public Theatre's website.
