New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Months of dominating international charts and playing sold out shows across the globe has culminated with Dean Lewis today releasing his highly anticipated debut album A Place We Knew.
Fresh from performing his new single 'Stay Awake' on Jimmy Kimmel Live! and being named Apple's global Up Next Artist earlier this week, Dean continues to make international headlines with 'Be Alright' hitting # 1 on HOT AC Radio and officially going PLATINUM in the USA this week.
The 12-track debut album is Triple J's feature album this week and includes hit songs 'Waves', 'Be Alright' and '7 Minutes', which has just been certified PLATINUM in Australia, having charted #1 on TMN Hottest 100 Airplay Chart and accumulating over 50 million streams in just over 8 weeks. 'Be Alright' which is now 6 x Platinum in Australia still continues it's global domination and has now reached 750 Million streams. The success of Be Alright has claimed Dean many #1's including the #1 spot on Billboards Emerging Artist Chart and #1 Most Shazamed artist in the USA.

A Place We Knew encapsulates the bittersweet memories of past relationships. "All the songs were written through relationships I'd been in and houses I used to live in and hotel rooms," said Lewis. Written and recorded all over the world, Dean collaborated with multiple producers Edd Holloway, Nick Atkinson, John Castle and Dann Hume along with Sydney based producer Dylan Nash whom Lewis refers to as "almost like the co-producer for the whole album".

Since announcing Dean's national album tour, his first headline Melbourne, Brisbane and Sydney shows have sold out and due to popular demand second shows have been added. Dean will be performing songs from his new album as well as his debut GOLD selling EP Same Kind of Different.
