Lourdes Duque Baron And Ron Ellington Shy Dazzle During Their Vitello's Jazz Club Show
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) "….and it's a perfect day with youuuuuu. I'll never forget my spring in Paris," the soulful sound of jazz crooner Lourdes Duque Baron lures me upstairs to the iconic, 120 seat intimate jazz club at "Upstairs at Vitello's" on Saturday, Dec. 13, 2014.

Opening the show, jazz luminary Ron Ellington Shy charmed the packed audience with his energetic performance skills and boundless personality. Shy - a nephew of the legendary Duke Ellington -- performed alongside such golden-era greats as the Coasters and the Drifters. He is arguably one of the greatest live jazz performers; this night was no exception as he energized the audience who clapped along as he delighted with his stellar vocals and piano skills.

The main act, Lourdes Duque Baron emerged onto the jazz scene in 2014. Baron's look and sound has been referred to as 'timeless.' Her music transports the audience back to those days of smoky, dim lounges where men in debonair suits would hover around women in glistening evening attire, and the clinging of martini glasses was endless.

Baron was accompanied by an astounding band under the direction of bandleader (and multi-platinum music producer) and dynamic pianist, Andrew Lane. Smooth jazz saxophonist, Ben Burget, played a whimsical solo during "Cry Me A River" uplifting the audience. Hugo Vera Solari on bass, Greg Sadler on drums, and Jorge Reygadas on keyboards joined Burget. Rounding out the talented cast of musicians was Sam Salter as backup vocalist. Salter has worked with

Selecting an astounding repertoire of songs for Baron, Lane creates a playful sophistication akin to those revered by 50s and 60s jazz standards. Baron introduced two original songs, which will be included on her new album to be released in early Spring 2015. Her ballads "Table For Two" and "My Spring In Paris" display her soulful and sultry singing prowess establishing her as the "Queen of Romance." Listen to "Table For Two" here.
