Wayne Edwards Gives Rare Glimpse Into Music Industry From Black Executive Perspective
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Author Wayne Edwards served as an executive in the music industry for many years, responsible for bringing MC Hammer's "Please Hammer, Don't Hurt 'Em" album to Capitol Records. Now, in his debut book, "Can't Touch This: Memoir of a Disillusioned Music Executive" (published by AuthorHouse), Edwards gives readers a rare look into the music industry from the eyes of a black executive.

"There was a story that needed to be told about the music industry from the perspective of a senior level black executive," Edwards explains.

The book chronicles the success of CBS Records' Black Music Marketing Division and offers humorous and sometimes frightening insights into behind-the-scenes celebrity and executive experiences. As Edwards' memoir, "Can't Touch This" brings his unique perspective and knowledge of the music industry to the reader.

Edwards hopes readers will come to appreciate "the unique challenges facing black executives in corporate America."
