New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Currently half way through a huge run of US tour dates, Leeds/London duo Kamikaze Girls have revealed the new video for 'Hexes', the latest track to be taken from their new EP Sad, which is out now through Bearded Punk Records (UK/EU) and Wiretap Records (US).

The band have also revealed further live dates throughout the US and UK for November, with full details below.

"This is a song we wrote about psychosis" explains vocalist Lucinda Livingstone on the lyrical subject matter of the track "It was something I struggled with for a while and it was triggered by depression. It was mainly the delusions that I had an issue with, believing that things that were obviously untrue were rationally true. For a lot of people, myself included, it comes in episodes and the music reflects that in a way. It's very up and down, and eventually calms before kicking off again. Despite the sombre subject matter it's a fun one to play live."

Limited edition vinyl and merch bundles can be found at www.itsokaytobesad.com or purchase the EP on limited edition cassette tape from: https://wiretaprecords.limitedrun.com/products/575099-kamikaze-girls-sad

The band are currently part-way through a huge run of tour dates and festival performances across the UK, Europe, Canada and United States including appearances at FEST in Florida, South Sea Fest, Hageland Festival in Beligum and more.

Commenting on the trials of touring as a DIY band, the pair say: "We've been on the road since the 4th August and so far all the dates have been great so far. This is a completely self-booked tour, we don't have a manager or an agent, it's 100% DIY. We're hugely grateful to everyone involved in helping us play all these places and sleep on their floors. By the time we get to the last week in November we'll be in need of a coffee or 10."

The relentlessly hardworking duo have just returned from a string of Belgian headline dates and UK dates with Dublin indie pop quintet The Winter Passing, as well as several other headline dates and festival appearances.
The pair have so far racked up support for their lo-fi take on riot grrrl influenced slacker punk from the likes of Rock Sound, Punktastic, Upset, Dork Magazine, The Punk Archive, The Girls Are and many more.

First and foremost, Kamikaze Girls want you to know that it's okay to be sad. Since 2014 the Riot Grrrl duo, consisting of vocalist and guitarist Lucinda Livingstone and drummer Conor Dawson, have used music as a means to challenge attitudes and taboos surrounding mental health.

Their aim has always been to show their strength and solidarity to other young people in the same position, through their vitriolic fuzz-rock and to work alongside other bands in the scene to help stamp out gender stereotypes in music for good.
Sad is out now on Bearded Punk and Wiretap Records
