"Listen" Up: A New Side Of David Guetta!
New York, NY (Top40 Charts) Mark your calendars. On November 24th, David Guetta's sixth studio album Listen will be released worldwide. With hit songs like "Turn Me On", "Sexy Bitch", and "Titanium", it's hard not to be a David Guetta fan. His past albums were both incredibly infections and wildly succesful. While Listen promises to be no exception, fans should expect to hear something completely different.

Listen, a culmination of three years of hard work, is a bit of a curveball for Guetta. During his exclusive Google Hangout, Guetta explained that, after so many albums, its often hard to come up with something new to say.

"I think it's important when an artist comes out with a new album to come up with something exciting and different, and for me to keep the passion that I have, I have to challenge myself. If I apply the same recipe every time, I'm kind of safe, but I lose the passion."

This new formula works well for Guetta, because Listen is nothing if not passionate. While Guetta still wants to get everyone up and dancing, this album is much more personal. "Lately, my personal life has been a little more difficult, so it reflects on the album, on the things that we're talking about, on the type of chords." The new, personal feel partially comes from Guetta's more traditional songwriting approach this time around. "This time, I spent much more time in the studio and started with the piano, or guitar, and the voice. I started from the song -- not the beat." He added that he wants to "create songs that stand up whether played by a DJ, a rock band or an orchestra."

The amount of heart David Guetta put into this album is directly reflected in the music. The tracklist has something for everyone: songs that will make you dance, mid-tempo grooves, and even--gasp!--a ballad. Even the star-studded guest list shows the album's diversity. Collaborations with Nicki Minaj and Sia were to be expected, but Listen throws some curveballs into the mix with Ryan Tedder, Birdy, and Sam Martin (to name a few). Sam Martin proved that he was a name worth remembering when the first single, "Dangerous" was released earlier this month.

"Dangerous" is just a small example of what we can expect from this new album. To hear a preview of the entire tracklist, check out the official album megamix below. Fans will get the chance to see and hear a different side of David Guetta, and the album will fully represent everything that was put into it. As he said, "I really gave my stomach, my heart, my soul in this album."

Head to iTunes now to pre-order Listen, available worldwide on November 24th. It'll definitely be worth your while, but I guess you'll have to wait and "listen" for yourself.
