Joining up as a member of the children's choir at the age of 4 years old, Erika was exposed to numerous vocal opportunities , she sung for the BOYS & Girls Clubs, performed at the Miss New York completion along with many other singing performances. Moving to the suburbs of Charlotte, NC, in Indian Trail, at age 12, Erika has continued in her singing career and has earned numerous accolades, from 2nd place winner for the Charlotte Youth Idol and 1st place winner for the Disney Music contest in Monroe, NC . Catching the attention of Doug Myers, singer/songwriter/producer and CEO of REMIER RECORDS and Charlotte's "Best Producer" award winner, Tim Walls (aka Krazy Figz).
